The Youth Parliament Session took the form of moderated discussion among the young people. In the begining of the discussion the project was presented to the participants. Afterwards the specifics of the social enterpreneuership were introduced to assure equal understanding of the topic prior to the discussion. To stimulate the discussion the moderators have prepared several questions on how it can influence the youth entrance in the work forces and what would the effects on youth unemployment be.
The main conclusions and recommendation the participants made during the Agora include as follows:
- Engaging young people in constructive social activities, they will be able to find their true calling. The participants concluded that the opportunity to bring to fruition a project or idea they are passionate about will help them form a clearer perception of what they are cut out to do;
- The invaluable hands-on experience, desire for improvement and love for their occupation will act as an incentive for young people to keep moving forward which is definitely going to result in reduced unemployment rate. Inspiring youngsters to make their dreams come true and supporting them via entrepreneurship initiatives is the first step to fighting unemployment. It should be pleasurable and easy for them to set up their own businesses or launch products, for example because this will provoke them to take action.
- According to their reasoning of many young people, named unemployed, their unemployment is due to the fact there are no vacancies available in their field of expertise. Reportedly, a factor for that condition can also be reckoned cronyism and corrupt practices. Moreover, most employers prefer hiring people with working experience. Thus, young people, who are not provided with such after graduation, remain in despair of the situation from which they cannot escape. Many young unemployed people have clear vision about the present situation of the society on local and national level and have come up with solutions to major social problems. If given the opportunity to put their ideas into practice, those open-minded and responsible young people will be motivated to work in the area of Social Entrepreneurship and to dedicate their time to make the world a better place.
- Providing workplaces for specific social minorities or groups and for people in need, social entrepreneurship is a business that can benefit for the development of young people and specifically to solve the unemployment problem in some countries. Young people can both become the beneficent or the beneficiary.
- Social Entrepreneurship is the best chance for young people to implement positive changes in their field of work. But it is also a great responsibility because it requires dedication and long-term efforts
